Ancillary Task: Magazine Cover, Analysis of TV magazine conventions

Having collected a few different magazine covers, I have fully analysed the different conventions of each, and how they are utilised to appeal to the target audience. The house style for all of them included big and bold colours in order to catch the readers' attention. All of them featured the date and issue number as well as the title and newspaper of which they came from. This will help me with my own production of one as I shall ensure each of these features are added to give my magazine cover the same professional outlook. Also featured were catchy headlines, with the main storyline in the biggest font and image, with small images and subtitles around it to show how this magazine also features other programmes on television. Also apparent it the use of 'special exclusive' interviews to make audiences feel as though they are getting the latest of information regarding the soaps of their interest.
